WHO I AM
I feel most at home curled up on my couch with my pup and a scary movie, or sitting in the airport waiting to take off on my next adventure - there’s no in between. I have a running list of things I need to learn in order to survive the (inevitable) zombie apocalypse, and I am forever trying to channel my inner Buffy Summers — she’s such a badass. I’m an introvert to my core, and will never be the loudest person in the room — but I believe that is what makes me a great photographer because I pick up on the little things, and have intuition like no other.
My favorite things in the entire world
The happy dance people do when they eat something incredible. The smell of a new book, and feeling the crisp pages in my hands. I love driving under a bridge during a rainstorm and savouring the few minutes of silence before the rain starts pounding on the car again. I love the unconditional love from my aussie pup nova, and the excitement she has when I come home (even if I’ve only been gone all of five minutes). I love gossiping with my grandma, and playing video games with my dad - which is who I was named after… Shane. Most importantly I love navigating life with Dylan, and how he constantly needs to feel my hands in his hair or my fingers tracing his arm while we drive to the grocery store, or take a walk around the neighbourhood plotting how to take over the world.

There is no greater feeling to me then when my couples give me a seat at their table, and let me in on the secret of what makes their love different. I get to capture what sets your experience apart from everyone else and that's pretty freakin incredible. I get so overcome with emotions just thinking that my photographs from different seasons of your life may one day litter the walls of your home for years to come. It's the small moments that forge the deepest bonds and that is how I’m going to tell your story - with all the in-between, messy, forgotten and fleeting moments no one else sees. When you look back on your photos I want you to feel every moment, relive your story, and effortlessly fall in love all over again.
